The Largest Butterfly in The World

 

Attacus atlas (Atlas or Prince of Darkness). It is the largest butterfly night. Many subspecies - Emperor butterfly, which is considered the largest in the world (in the wings magnitude reach over 32 cm). Quirky curved edge of the front wing shape and colour imitates snake head. This discourages many insectivorous animals.

This is a moth, not a butterfly, as is evident from the large abdomen and the feather-like antennae.
